Sometimes you are able to fix problems yourself, but there are other times when you cant and you get that sudden urge to throw the broken something against the wall in frustration. Well, that is how I felt anyway, when my Xbox 360 wouldn’t cooperate with me. Every time I tried to play a game or watch a movie, half way through what I was doing the screen would freeze and would do nothing else until I reset the console. I know that resetting while the disc is “reading” is bad for the console but that’s all you can do when you experience Xbox 360 freezing. It is ridiculous for such an expensive machine.
I had this problem for a while before I decided to do something about it. I thought I’d rather wait a while and maybe the problem would go away, but I was obviously just hoping it would but I knew it really wouldn’t. My 360 was still under guarantee so I thought about sending it back to the store where I purchased it, but then thought might as well just send it back to Microsoft and they can sort it out properly. Well did I think wrong! After sending my Xbox into Microsoft I waited a bit longer than a month to have it back, but that’s not really the problem; the real problem is that it was still doing the Xbox 360 freezing thing when I got it back!
This is when I decided I would fix it on my own. I started searching on the net for someone that could help me, but instead I came across a website that I am ever grateful for,
3redlightfix allowed me to fix my Xbox myself, with no professional help, and it took just 2 hours! All I had to do was pay a small fee so that I could download the e-book that would give me detailed instructions on how to fix my Xbox! I couldn’t believe my luck! It was wonderful that I was able to do it myself and for such a low price because Microsoft normally charge you like $140 when you send in your Xbox to be fixed.
I also read online that the towel trick works pretty well, but then I also know someone who tried it and had their Xbox even more buggered than before after like 6 months. So if you would like your 360 to last a little longer than that, don’t try the towel trick because although it works temporarily, it does more damage in the long run. Your best bet is to try
this guide which also comes with a video and you'll save yourself $140 and 4 weeks of waiting.
